In Council with the Sun

In Council with the Sun
The wind takes us
Over the waves
Over the horizon
To sit in council with the sun
Who has not quite arrived
And together conceive
Then birth the day ahead

In the stillness before dawn, the wind becomes our guide, gently lifting us from the embrace of the land and carrying us over the undulating waves. Each crest and trough whispers secrets of the deep, and the horizon beckons us with promises of new beginnings. As we sail through the pre-dawn light, the world is a canvas of possibility, where the boundaries of the sea and sky blur into an infinite expanse of potential. The air is filled with murmurs of anticipation, and we are travelers on the edge of tomorrow, propelled by the unseen currents of destiny.

We arrive at the sacred place where the horizon meets the sky, a threshold between night and day. Here, in the quiet before the sun’s ascent, we sit in council with the nascent light. The sun, still hidden beyond the world’s rim, sends tendrils of warmth and light ahead of its grand entrance. In this liminal space, we join in a silent communion, our thoughts and dreams intertwining with the first rays of dawn. It is a time for reflection and creation, where the seeds of the day’s events are planted in the fertile soil of the early morning.

Together with the sun, we conceive the coming day, imagining its shape, texture, and highs and lows. The energy of the rising sun mingles with our intentions, infusing them with vitality and purpose. As the sun finally crests the horizon, its golden light bathes the world in a radiant glow, and the day is born from our collective vision. The wind that carried us here now seems to celebrate, rustling through our hair and clothes, a gentle reminder of our journey and the promise of the day ahead. We rise with the sun, ready to embrace whatever comes, knowing we have shaped its beginning with our dreams and aspirations.

June is the time to celebrate the Summer Solstice and the time we step into the Southern segment of the medicine wheel. Reflecting on what the South means for health and well-being becomes an important opportunity and challenge. You are invited to have a conversation with your inner self and your spirit guides and consider the following questions:
•    Where do you stand with your commitments?
•    What is the health of your relationships?
•    How strong and stable are your steps?
•    Is your endurance and physical health enough to continue?
