From its winter sleep the earth is awoken,

The cycle of nature, true and unbroken.

The promise of spring, of life, a new start,

To fill you with faith in mind, body and heart.

The perfect wheel of nature keeps spinning,

With proof that an ending, is just the beginning.

Rejoice in this season, may it fill you with peace,

And may the blessing of nature, for you, never cease.

Insight on the Spring Equinox from John “Eagle Bear” Burgess:

Across cultures, the vernal equinox has been honored as a time of balance, renewal, and new vitality. Equal light and dark remind us that life moves in cycles and that every ending carries the seeds of a beginning.

This seasonal turning is also a threshold. In a world that can feel uncertain, pausing to recognize spring’s arrival helps us realign with the Earth and with ourselves. As nature awakens, we are invited to awaken with it, opening to fresh energy, insight, and possibility.

Celebrate this new life force. Share a smile, a hug, a moment of gratitude. Let yourself feel the joy of the season.

Simple Ways to Honor the Equinox

1. Greet the Sun

Step outside in the early morning, preferably barefoot. Feel the Earth beneath you and the sun above you. Release what feels complete and welcome renewed energy into your heart.

2. Offer Water

Pour water for a tree, plant, stream, or garden as a gesture of gratitude and renewal.

3. Touch the Earth

Hug a tree, place your feet in water, or simply pause and feel your connection to the living world.

4. Create a Reminder

Gather a small natural object and place it somewhere visible as a symbol of new beginnings.

5. Journal and Share Gratitude

Write what you are ready to bring into this new cycle. Offer someone a heartfelt hug in celebration of the life force you both carry.

May this season of balance bring clarity, renewal, and joy.
